More and more people are getting passionate about The Sun because they combine rock music, training, and personal experience in an innovative way. The band is the artistic evolution of the Vicenza-based Sun Eats Hours, formed in 1997, and is composed of Francesco Lorenzi (author, singer, and guitarist), Riccardo Rossi (drummer), Matteo Reghelin (bassist, accordionist, harmonica player), Gianluca Menegozzo (guitarist, backing vocalist) and, since 2015, Andrea Cerato (lead guitarist, backing vocalist). Before signing a deal with major record label Sony Music, the band had already produced and distributed four self-produced albums in Europe, Japan, and Brazil by various independent labels (especially by Rude Records) and had supported international bands such as The Cure, The Offspring, Misfits, Muse, Ok Go, NOFX, Ska P, Afi, Pennywise, The Vandals and, more recently, Deep Purple.
